We have been busy serving a variety of customers in 2007. Large pharmas use MHTSC to supplement their internal HTS labs. Small pharmas use MHTSC services instead of establishing expensive in house operations. Academic researchers collaborate with MHTSC on grants for research. Our expertise and no I/P business model is attractive to the market. We look forward to a great year in 2008!
MHTSC has expanded to better serve the life science marketplace. Through collaboration with Global Lifescience Solutions, LLC (GLS - a subsidiary of NSF International) high content screening is now available. The collaboration with GLS allows MHTSC to expand the characterization of lead compounds coming out of screens. This should greatly facilitate client's drug discovery research.
MHTSC was featured in two national research publications recently:
The diversity of the compound collection was featured in the SBS News innovations section (August 2007) - Michigan HTS Screening Center: Designing a Compound Library for Maximum Diversity.
The MHTSC high content screening collaboration with GLS was featured in the August 12 edition of the GenomeWeb Daily News - Cell-Based Assay News - Michigan Screening Center Joins Forces with GLS to add HCS to expanded services menu.
MHTSC has experience helping all segments of the life science marketplace with screening. If you are an academic researcher doing translational research we can act as the screening source for grant funded projects. We have supported researchers in writing - and winning - grants without I/P hassels.
Recently an independent researcher used stage one SBIR funds to fund a select set 10,000 copoound screen. The promising results from the screen were used to obtain stage two SBIR funding, allowing for a 100,000 compound screen. Through all phases of work, the data was the researchers exclusively - MHTSC requires no I/P.
If your organization needs access to expert assay development and HTS services without IP issues, or if your company would like a chance to review one of the most diverse compound libraries on the market, contact us.
